We are very exciting that you are interested in membership. We have several different types of membership for both dancing and non-dancing potential members.

No you do not need to be interested in dancing to be a member. We have several different membership categories for both dancing and non-dancing members.

There are different membership categories for both dancing and non dancing members. If you are a non dancing member we have a small yearly membership fee/dues. If you are a dancing member and maintain active status your dues are waived.

Why wouldn't you? H.S.V. Bavaria was founded in 1966 and is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering interest in the preservation of Bavaria / Tyrolian folk dance, Tracht (traditional costumes), tradition, culture and to promote mutual fellowship. Come to one of our next events and help us promote "Gemütlichkeit"

Yes! HSV Bavaria is available to book for Oktoberfests, festivals, corporate events, weddings, and private parties. We bring authentic German Schuhplattler dancing, alphorn, alpine bells, and lively Bavarian music. Visit our Contact page or call (203) 671-5009 to book us for your event.

We are based in West Haven, Connecticut and perform throughout Connecticut and New England. We also travel worldwide for the right event — HSV Bavaria has performed in Germany, Austria, Puerto Rico, and Canada, among many other places.

Pricing depends on your event, its location, and the type of performance you would like. Contact us with your event details and we will tailor a performance and a quote to your specific needs.

Our performances feature traditional Bavarian and Tyrolean Schuhplattler folk dances, cowbell (alpine bell) routines, alphorn, and accordion music — bringing authentic German Gemütlichkeit and fun audience interaction to your event.

We rehearse about twice a month in the New Haven, Connecticut area. Everyone is welcome and no dance experience is required. We offer both dancing and non-dancing memberships — come to a rehearsal or contact us to get started.
